Becoming a Reflective Educator

Service Description

A key component of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy that is often missed is the self-work that must occur before and during the development and implementation of one's practice. As educators, it's important to know who WE are, explore the messages that we've internalized about ourselves and others, and how they impact and shape our instruction and engagement with those we work for and with. In the Reflective Educator Sessions, Dr. Rose utilizes her teacher reflective journal prompts to guide educators in the development of a consistent practice of reflecting on their classroom & instructional practices and how to collaborate with students, co-workers, and parents/families in the process to enhance their instructional approaches and better meet the needs of their students.
